A strong leader is someone who is thoughtful and intentional about his actions, and that means looking back in order to become more strategic going forward.

Keep Moving Forward!
As my graduate program is nearing completion, I recognize that my development as a reflective, responsive, globally aware teacher is still in its early stages. The NLGL program has provided me with the fundamental tools and resources to serve as my foundation as I continue to cultivate my craft. To foster my growth and feed my curiosity, I identified five areas I would like to focus on throughout the next few years, which are:
- Continue taking risks in the classroom by implementing new lessons, texts, and Web 2.0 tools
- Stay abreast of new research and practices of literacy instruction
- Share my craft knowledge with my colleagues
- Create more resources to address cultural and global awareness in my classroom
- Reflect, reflect, reflect!
